We've just launched another event-related site for CSL Newport Mesa for their 8th Annual People Helping People Fest, a terrific program that brings hundreds of volunteers together with local and regional non-profits.

PHPFest asks attendees to commit to one hour per month for a year with any of the many non-profit organizations exhibiting at the one day event that takes place in September.

The site is light and colorful reflecting the vivid colors of the event's logo that's been reworked by us for an updated look. Built on the Joomla CMS platform for ease of administrative management, the PHPFest site will continue to expand as the event grows in size and scope.

We look forward to continued work on this site, not just because it's a good project... but also because it's for a very worthy cause. In 2009, the PHPFest generated over 7000 volunteer hours for local orgnizations.

With a significant presence in the guitar world, GSi Media Network sought to develop and launch an "editorial style" news distribution site that would engage guitar players and enthusiasts as well as provide an efficient PR platform for companies and organizations. To accomplish that goal, we created the new GuitarPR website with a bold, fresh look and feel that offers plenty of air, but gets right to the point. Billed as the News Funnel for the Guitar Business, the site features news, announcements, profiles and more from the world of guitar.

GuitarPR, like many of the larger sites we develop and manage is built on the Joomla CMS platform for ease of administration and design flexibility. Because GuitarPR operates in editorial mode, it needs to have the power to process and edit a large number of articles with pictures by several different editors and writers. With Joomla's permission-based back office, these tasks can often be handled by trained staff without specific programming or web design skills.

With the challenge of how to produce a high-quality, visually stunning website for a non-profit organization on a slim budget, we choose to develop the Women's Journey Conference website on the open-source content management system known as Joomla.

Joomla is a popular platform because of it's robust web-based administrative capabilities that allow trained staffers to make content changes and additions from virtually any computer with a Web browser. However, developing a Joomla site that takes advantage of it's many powerful features and designing a skin that fits the clients needs can take a great deal of skill and experience.

Fortunately, we've been working the Joomla platform since its inception which gives us a substantial advantage over other developers and in-house marketing departments. Plus, we can deploy a Joomla website in a few days if necessary and still at a cost that is affordable for most organizations.

The Women's Journey Conference website is a clean, but visually intriguing design utilizing only a few of the basic functions available but nonetheless engages visitors and urges them to register for the event.

We recently completed the design and development of a new comprehensive online store for The Guitar Wall platform. Appropriately, it is call The Guitar Wall Mart... not to be confused with anything else that sounds even remotely similar.

The Guitar Wall sells digital wall space and develops entire dedicated wall platforms for guitar builders, dealers and other guitar-related companies. The "Wall Mart" is built on the popular open source e-commerce platform, Zen Cart. The store "out of the box" looks terrible. You really cannot use it unless you don't care how it looks or whether you make any sales.

We crafted an entirely new "skin" for the store that communicates the general look and feel of The Guitar Wall's 42 Walls that now contain over 1000 individually owned wall spaces featuring some the finest guitar builders and guitar related business in the world.
